Both of these prestigious wines earned high marks throughout the years and both of these vintages are ready to drink now. Limited availability, so better order soon!

Betz Famly Winery Clos de Betz Bordeaux Blend, Columbia Valley, 2011

$59.50/btl.

One featured wine is Betz Family Winery's Clos de Betz Bordeaux blend. It's brief history is certainly something to be proud of.

The first vintage under the family's own label was in 1998. Before their first vintage, Bob Betz had played a pivotal part in making Washington a world class wine region. Having worked with Stimson Lane's group of wineries for several decades, he was determined to discover their true potential. This Bordeaux blend consists of 67% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. It was barrel aged in 100% French oak (

65% new/35% one fill), for 16 months which gives it that nice ripe black cherry, mocha, and wood spice. The 2011 vintage was another cool vintage and the Merlot grapes had a late ripening which gives it that supple mouthfeel and soft palette. Drinks like a St. Emilion!93 pts. - Wine Enthusiast93 pts. - Stephen Tanzer92 pts. - Robert Parker

Fisher Unity Cabernet Sauvignon,North Coast, 2012

$32.99/btl.

Fisher's Unity Cabernet Sauvignon is not defined by a single vineyard source. It comes from multiple sites where the end result is a balanced blend of grapes coming from different estates and appellations.

The blend is composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. They are sourced from Calistoga (Northern Napa Valley), Mayacamas Mountains (Eastern Sonoma County), and Atlas Peak (Vacas Mountains of Eastern Napa). The aromas of red fruits are emphasized by oak and spices. This flavorful Cab has a chocolately cherry taste with just a hint of herbs. It is a nice medium bodied wine with sharp tannins. Truly a juicy and balanced package!
