 Today's Featured Wine Special

2010 Chehalem Wines Ian's Reserve Chardonnay, Willamette Valley, USA 90 Pts. - Wine Enthusiast $32.99/BTL!

Truly a spectacular wine! This Oregon gem is a medium to full-bodied chardonnay that has slighty toasty oak notes,

candied citrus peel, with a

soft textured mouth-feel that has a nicely balanced long finish. This wine is made by Harry Peterson-Nedry, some would say the Godfather of Oregon wines behind Eyrie's David Lett. This wine pairs perfectly with a pan-seared Halibut with a sweet corn crab risotto...which was my dinner last night! Yum!

"This Ian’s Reserve Chardonnay lightly accents the beautiful French oak used for fermentation and aging, but completes the wine with elegant fruit and focused acid and structure. Baking spice and warm dry oats play on the nose, leading to sweeter aromas of dulce de leche and flaky apple pie. There’s sweet wood and vanilla on the palate, linked with pear, quince jam, and peach pit, perhaps reminiscent of peaches and cream. The finish is long, round, and lingering, mid-palate weight is persistent, and ripe acids tightly knit the complete package." - Chehalem Winery
