This is an interesting wine produced by Stratton Lummis Winery. It is their red blend from Napa and it has quite a silky smooth mouthfeel. They follow their own tradition of blending multiple varieties of red grapes grown in Napa County.
We think that it would be easier to tell you what it doesn't consist of...but we will anyway (Petit Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Tempranillo Charbono, Zinfandel and Petite Verdot). Certainly a riddle when comparing this to their Lot 4 red blend but if you are able to get your hands on it, they add more of this Bordeaux varietal. See what I did there? There is definitely a lot of dark red and black fruits such as dark cherry and blackberry with a little bit of pepper and spice. This is certainly a fruit forward wine and easily drinkable. We would pair this wine with a nice meaty dish such as a beef stew or a roast leg of lamb.
