Explore The Wines of Northeastern Italy!

We're super excited to have Luigi Maresca back at The Vine Post pouring wines from Fruili-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige! We're looking forward to experience wines from these regions. It's like stepping into a white wine paradise. Because it's been so hot lately, we are looking for wines that taste great chilled and have lively acidity. If you do some research, you will find over thirty+ varieties in these regions, and we will be pouring six wines from two wine estates, several of which are cuvees.Ronco del Gelso is considered one of the leading estates in Fruili today. Located in the Isonzo DOC, their pebbly, alluvial soils are ideal for mineral-driven white wine varietals. A fantasic producer in Trentino-Alto Adige, Manincor's estate, dates back over four hundred years with some of the buildings on their estate dating back to 1608. They are the largest wine estate in the South Tyrol province. Manincor has been built on the history of many generations of winegrowing and agriculture.The tasting is this Saturday, June 29th, from 5:30-7:30pm. Pricing is $20/person.
