This Week's Wine Specials: Pinot Noirs!

This Week's Wine Specials:

PINOT NOIRS!

Everyone can agree that wine is an all-seasons beverage. However, now that it's starting to cool down outside, we can start the transition from "summer wines" into "fall wines", and what that means is that we're now gravitating towards richer and more full-bodied wines. A few autumnal white and red wines to consider are Viogner, Roussane, Chardonnay, Syrah, Grenache-based wines, Pinot Noir, and Beaujolais. This week we are focusing on three lovely Pinot Noirs!

Sean Minor Pinot Noir, Carneros, 2011

$19/BTL.

Ranked #17 on the Top 50 Restaurant Wines List from Wine and Spirits

Sean Minor's Carneros Pinot Noir is definitely a good buy! This Pinot Noir is medium bodied with aromas of red and dark fruits along with spices and earthy notes. The vanilla and toast come together with the tannins on its long finish.

Patz & Hall Pinot Noir, Gap's Crown Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, 2012

$65/BTL.93 Pts. - Robert Parker91 Pts. - Wine SpectatorThis fabulous Pinot Noir has a lovely bouquet of rose petals, red and black fruits such as black cherries, currants, and raspberries. It is a full-bodied, spicy, delightful Pinot Noir that should drink splendidly for the years to come.

Thibault Liger-Belair Les Gruenchers, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru, France, 2011

$125/BTL.91 Pts. - Robert ParkerThis lovely Burgundy hails from Cote de Nuits subregion in Chambolle-Musigny. This is more of a luscious wine because the grapes ripened well and were from deep clay soils. It has a silky and supple texture that provides a rich and dense wine which is very well balanced and harmonious.
