Just In: Find Out What is Making the Cut!

This past week as we were coming into the second phase, we got back into the groove of things and started tasting wines from quite a few new labels. Here are the wines that stood out the most and we found to be the most interesting!

In Order from Left to Right:

The aroma and flavor is driven by Pinot Noir, which brings strength and complexity to the cuvée, while the Chardonnay provides freshness and laser-like focus. Fifteen months aging on the lees contributes richness and texture to this high-quality example of Crémant de Bourgogne.

Delicate floral bouqet. Ripe apple, citrus-driven, subtle grassy notes, and soft minerals. A clean, lingering finish. Perfect porch pounder on a hot day.

100% Chardonnay. Fresh, clean, mineral-driven, juicy acidity. Flavors of lemon curd and yellow apple. 6,000 cases produced.

73% Syrah, 27% Tempranillo. Aromas of strawberry/cherry and orange zest. Crisp mouthfeel. A fruity, balanced, dry rose to enjoy with sashimi, at the beach/pool, or backyard barbecue!

100% Sangiovese. Crystalline ruby red in color. Fresh, alluring aromas of violet and red fruit, this Sangiovese drinks beautifully. Well balanced, soft, and persistent with supple tannins and spice on the finish.

100% Cabernet Franc. Lovely floral and spicy characteristics on the nose. Flavors of juicy, ripe plum and blackberry fruit and herbs. Good mouthfeel and the finish gives off a nice tobacco note. Pair this wine with charcuterie (fatty pork, Saint Maure de Touraine goat cheese).

80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. By 8th generation winemaker Bruno Martin. Organically cultivated, this wine has flavors of black currants, notes of slight peppery spice, and ample tannin. Absolutely delicious. Ready to drink now.

85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 1% Petite Syrah, 1% Petit Verdot. Their Cab is a blend of fruits from some of the best growing regions in Napa (Napa Carneros Vineyard, Atlas Peak). Rich dark fruit, light oak, and cocoa powder makes this medium-bodied Napa Cabernet Sauvignon a perfect pairing to any grilled meat dishes.

$168/BTL, $150/BTL for a Case of 6!

We managed to land on a great deal with 2016 Klipsun Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain AVA. It is a highly allocated wine. Klipsun Vineyard is widely known for its powerful and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. From its inception, grapes from Klipsun Vineyard have been purchased by an elite group of Washington wineries including Quilceda Creek, Seven Hills, Col Solare, Betz Family, DeLille, and Januik to name a few.Composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 5% Syrah. Klipsun Cabernet Sauvignon is full bodied and concentrated with beautiful fruit characteristics of black cherries and blackberries and a very distinct minerality character alongside carefully managed tannins which are evident but seamless. Aged 20 months in 100% new French oak (mostly medium toast), then 14 months in bottle. Please contact us if you are interested. Don't miss out on this opportunity!

We have been in love with the Kelley Fox wines as of lately. From the Durant Vineyard Chardonnay, to their Momtazi Vineyard Pinot Noir, the new 2019 Nerthus white blend is fascinating! Sourced from biodynamically grown vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Nerthus was an ancient Teutonic goddess who was an incarnation of Mother Earth. The wine is a skin-contact blend of 60% Grüner Veltliner and 40% old vine Early Muscat. This wine is bone dry and its flavor profile is very unique. The nose is fresh, full of minerals and stone fruits (apricot/peach). Unlike the nose, the mouth is more Grüner-like than Muscat-like, but still, there are hints of tangerine and stone fruit. The finish is consistent with the mouth with a hint of spice.Only 290 cases produced. If you are interested, please let us know soon as possible as there are only 3 cases left in all of Florida!
