2017 Santa Barbara Stefano Antonucci "Pathos"Marche Rosso IGT, Italy - $49/BTL

LIMITED: ONLY 15 Wood Case Six Packs Available!Tre Bicchieri Gambero RossoComposition: 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 33% SyrahThe Santa Barbara winery deeply links its origins to the land, tradition and cults where it arose. In the sixth century, when the current city Senigallia was under Byzantine dominion, a "Lombard" outpost managed to settle in the nearby village. That village then took the name of "Barbara" where the company is still based today having the production site inside a spectacular monastery.

In fact, thanks to the stable and controlled temperature all year round and used since ancient times for winemaking, in the "barrel cellar" of the monastery, French barriques of 225 liters and large Tonneau of over 400 liters have been placed today to guarantee the perfect refinement of the wines. The profound respect for the land and the continuous trend towards innovation are the pillars on which Santa Barbara rests, with the aim of improving the quality standard of the raw material every year. This red blend was created to demonstrate all the vocation of the Piceno territory. It is a red of great stature: rich, harmonious, and refined by the 18-month barrel aging. This wine exhibits a deep ruby red color with aromas of red berries, sour cherries, cocoa, coffee, licorice, incense and sweet spices. It is a tasty, fragrant red that envelops the palate and with a well-present tannin and a pleasantly balsalmic finish. Stunningly powerful and structured, the Marche Rosso IGT “Pathos” from Santa Barbara shows the potential of the territory and will continue to surprise over time.

2020 Tenuta di Salviano 'Rigogoli'Umbria IGT, Italy - $40/BTL

Composition: Grechetto/Viognier Blend

Creamy and refreshing, Rigogoli bursts with flavors of peach, almond, sweet spice and finishes with a clean, sea-swept minerality. The native Grechetto di Todi pairs well with Viognier which rounds out Grechetto’s acidity, but also serves to add more complex aromas to this wine.

Tenuta di Salviano sits in a Roman hamlet in Umbria, owned by I Marchesi Giovanni and Tara Incisa della Rocchetta (Sassicaia Family). Rigogoli, or “golden orioles,” is a medium bodied, oak aged white wine that was created as a tribute to the family. This blend of Viognier and Grechetto di Todi, gets its name from Giovanni’s beloved grandfather, Il Principe Corsini, or more affectionately, Nonno Pio, who would greet Giovanni and his sister, Eleonora dressed by their mother in bright yellow jumpers, exclaiming, “Ecco i miei rigogoli! - Here are my orioles!”
