2012 Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay, Napa Valley, CA$50/BTL.94 pts. - Robert Parker92 pts. - Antonio Galloni

With only a little over 6500 cases produced, Shafer's Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay is whole-cluster pressed with no malolactic fermentation. This Chardonnay was aged in 75% new French oak barrels and 25% in stainless steel vats and fermented using native yeasts. It is aged on the lees for 14 months and due to the fact that it did not undergo malolactic fermentation, you end up with a lively young wine with plenty of acidity. Shafer is calling this vintage close to ideal. On the nose, there is plenty of woodiness, along with some vanilla and butter. It also has plenty of citrus and white flowers. The flavor profile is great. We're getting red and green apple, apricot, and a few tropical fruits such as pineapple. There is present acidity and minerality but it has a nice harmonious balance. Excellent wine!

2010 Casanova di Neri Tenuta Nuova, Brunello di Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy$150/BTL.Only 6 Bottles Left!

100 pts. - Robert Parker99 pts. - James Suckling95 pts. - Wine Spectator

Casanova di Neri...what else is there to say? If one is not familiar with Giacomo Neri, the winemaker, all you need to know is that no one else in this world has made as many 100 point wines in this century! Tenuta Nuova is in the south end of Montalcino. It is in a perfect location surrounded by Mediterranean forest. It is a very dry place with rocky soils and we feel that the microclimate gives Tenuta Nuova different characteristics and a distinction when comparing it to their Brunello. This wine has some complexity and richness to it. Get some now before it's all gone!

2010 Andrew Will Two Blondes Red Wine, Yakima Valley, WA$56.99/BTL.92 pts. - Robert Parker92 pts. - Wine Enthusiast91 pts. - Wine Spectator

What a gorgeous color in the glass! Aromas of cedar and spicy red fruits. Very bright, red fruit flavors such as raspberry and pomegranate and layers of spice. This red blend consists of 43% Merlot,

38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec that spent 21 months in barrel. An excellent silky tannic, full-bodied wine that is well-balanced and has bright acidity. You can't ask for more!
