The 2017 Alex Gambal Chambolle-Musigny shows ruby red hues with purple tints, aromas of black fruit and a touch of woodiness. With good structure and elegance, this wine is fresh on the palate with supple tannins. This elegant wine will pair deliciously with seared tuna steaks or mushroom ragout. This is a classical Chambolle and will repay cellaring for 8-12 years.

Stefano Campedelli started his career in wine at the local cantina sociale in 1986, which is where he met Celestino Gaspari, who would eventually become Stefano's enologist after years working at the benchmark Quintarelli estate. In 1993, he and Nicoletta were married, and in 1996 they vinified their first vintage.

Although Stefano does not court the press, and rarely travels outside of the Veneto, his wines have begun to be discovered…Antonio Galloni in reviewing the great 2010 Amarone, began his piece: “The hottest winery in Veneto? Well, there are several. But one of them is without question Marion… The wines reflect the artisan side of Valpolicella and are loaded with personality. These remain some of the finest handcrafted wines readers will find in all of Italy.”

Produced in limited quantities, the Proprietary Red is a wine of power and density with commanding tannins and rich, dark flavors that become increasingly lush and seductive with age. Properly cellared, Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red will evolve magnificently for at least 25 years.

Gastronome is a Blanc de Blancs made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the renowned Cote de Blancs, more specificially from the villages classified as Grand Cru: Cramant, Chouilly, Oger, and from the villages classified as premier cru: Cuis, and Vertus. Dosage: 5g/L This vintage of “Gastronome” is very generous in its green heirloom apple, white flower, ripe lemon and quince flavors along with buttered biscuits, white chocolate and hazelnut.
