I'm excited and couldn't be more pleased to get back in the 2020 vintage of Daniel Chotard Sancerre. We tasted the 2020 vintage last week, which I didn't have the opportunity to taste the 2019 vintage because it flew off of the shelf so quickly. A little backstory about these wines: Daniel Chotard lives just outside Sancerre in the village of Reigny, and the Chotard family has been making wine for well over 200 years. The terroir of Sancerre is widely regarded as producing one of the greatest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc. Daniel's son, Simon, has done a fantastic job this past decade as he now carries the torch. Their 2020 Sancerre offers up delicate floral notes along with citrus, apple and wet stone. The Chotard Sancerre has a round & juicy texture with a serious stony mineral backbone and juicy acidity that holds the citrus and mineral flavors on long finish. This Sancerre has an impressive texture (thanks to 6 months aging sur lee in stainless tank) with a mineral driven quality.Be sure to get yours today, as this Sancerre will sell out soon!
