Bodega Iaccarini Malbec 2011: A Lovely Red That Is A Summer Grilling Favorite!
Today's Featured Wine
Bodega Iaccarini was founded in San Rafael in 1903 by Don Pascual Iaccarini, an Italian immigrant who moved to the Mendoza region and adopted Argentina as his homeland. It was the first winery to have been established in that region so Don Pascual has sort of become a legend in that district. He will always be remembered for donating all of his assets to local government entities for social and educational purposes. In 2009, the Méndez Collado family had sought to continue Don Pascual Iaccarini’s dream and now that we are in the new era of Bodega Iaccarini, it relies heavily on winemaker Gabriella Celeste.

Today we are featuring the 2011 Bodega Iaccarini Malbec. It is 100% Malbec which sees 6 months in 2-3 year old barrels. This wine is packed with dark berry fruits, cocoa powder, and vanilla. This full-bodied wine starts off sweet with soft tannins and finishes with some earthiness and herbs that are long and balanced. This wine will pair perfectly with a grilled steak that you might decide to cook over the weekend. We suggest you try it! It will make your summer grilling experience so much better!
